The requirement of the Business College was to provide a wi-fi coverage inside their buildings and in the Campus of the University.

The service should be available to students, teachers and employees (with the definition of specific access rules and rights for each typology of groups).

The project showed some critical elements that has been evaluated.

On one side the architectural structure of the buildings made the creation of a single wireless network extremely hard.

On the other side the specific needs of usage and the different density of students and teachers in the various zones required a deep analysis to allow the offer of a good quality service; the way of use and the access zones were often very changeable according to the period of the academic year, the days of the week and even the time of the day.

The solution proposed and realized by Wi-Next is composed by a network architecture based on N.A.A.W. technology that allow to create in a simple way a widespread coverage of the areas with a “bridged” configuration. The architecture that has been realized offers to the users the opportunity to move all around the area covered by the wireless network without loosing their active session.

This kind of solution makes the use of connectivity services extremely simple; users’ wi-fi devices dynamically join the nearest N.A.A.W. in a “transparent” way: users don’t need to reinsert their log-in info while moving inside the area covered by the wireless signal.

The adopted technological solution allow the cohabitation of a public and a private network which are managed by any of the N.A.A.W. devices used for the creation of the network coverage.
